• To work in Los Angeles in order to inform, raise awareness and take action around language justice and the right to language access.
•To help reduce systemic language barriers so all people can have equal access to services, as well as to both public and private spaces.
•To provide interpretation and translation working with best practices, in conjunction with tools and concepts rooted in language justice.
•To influence the institutional culture of foundations and non-profit organizations, specifically in order to improve their distribution of resources geared toward language justice.
•To live in a multilingual and multicultural Los Angeles, where every person can participate in any context they wish, and can speak the language in which they feel most comfortable.
•To live in a Los Angeles where language diversity is valued as a tool for all people to participate fully in social and political contexts, regardless of race, nationality, beliefs, or other factors.
•The objective of Antena Los Ángeles is to promote the democratization of language through our participation in bilingual and multilingual spaces as interpreters, educators and consultants. Beyond providing services per se, this collective aims to change perspectives around language.
